Testing honesty

Every review states plainly whether the product was tested hands-on, for how long and in what conditions. When a recommendation is based on research instead of ownership, the review says so in the review body, not in fine print. Claiming testing that did not happen is a firing offence here.

Meaningful drawbacks

Every product we recommend includes at least one drawback that could change a purchase decision. "Not for everyone" does not qualify. If we cannot find a real weakness, we have not looked hard enough to recommend the product.

Fitment accuracy

Vehicle accessory fitment changes between generations, cab types and even factory option packs. Our fitment tables are checked against manufacturer fit guides at publication and re-checked when a guide is updated. If you find an error, contact us and we will fix it and note the correction.

Independence

Rankings are locked before any affiliate consideration. Retailers and manufacturers cannot buy placement, preview rankings or veto criticism. Products are bought at retail or borrowed without conditions.

Updates

Guides display their published and updated dates. We review each guide at least annually, remove discontinued products and re-check retailer links. Guides that no longer meet this policy are archived rather than left to rot.
